B.O.S. Better Online Solutions Completes Fire Safety Equipment Project for Bazan Oil Refineries
Rishon Letzion, Israel — July 13, 2010 — B.O.S. Better Online Solutions Ltd. (“BOS”) (NASDAQ: BOSC) today announced that it has completed a project for Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd., Israel’s largest oil refinery, to ensure that its fire safety equipment is being maintained efficiently and in good repair, as fire regulations stipulate.
BOS implemented a comprehensive solution for Bazan’s fire hydrants, including bar codes, handheld devices to read the information, and the BOS ID software platform, which interfaces with Bazan’s SAP ERP system (enterprise resource planning). The BOS solution generates maintenance information on the company’s fire hydrants located throughout the factory. Fire laws stipulate regular checks to ensure that hydrants are in good working order. The status of the hydrants are sent by the handheld terminal, which interfaces with the company’s ERP and alerts Bazan in the event of a faulty hydrant.
“We now have a full picture of our equipment readiness, and can be alerted to any hydrant failures or problems through our ERP system,” said Gil Gersh, Chief of Firefighting Division at Bazan.
